Medical Care Support Specialist
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Medical Care Support Specialist to work with primary-aged children who require specialised medical and personal care.
The role involves providing medical care and support to children with special educational needs, including administering medication and attending to their health needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide medical care and support to primary-aged children with special educational needs.
- Assist with daily activities, ensuring the safety and well-being of all children.
- Support the children with personal care needs, including feeding, toileting, and mobility assistance.
- Work closely with teachers, healthcare professionals, and parents to ensure the best possible care and support for the children.
- Monitor and document the children's health and development, communicating any concerns to the appropriate staff.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a healthcare, medical support, or care role is essential.
- Experience working with children, especially in an educational or SEN setting, is highly desirable.
- Relevant qualifications in healthcare, childcare, or a related field (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care).
- A compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach to working with children.
