Hydraulic Network Systems Specialist

AECOM is seeking a highly skilled Hydraulic Network Systems Specialist to join our dynamic Water Resources team as a Senior Hydraulic Modeller focusing on wastewater networks in our rapidly growing UK team.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences, GIS, Geography, Civil Engineering, or similar subject, with experience in Hydraulic Modelling, GIS, or Data Analysis, particularly ArcGIS or MapInfo.
You will be responsible for working on impactful water projects across the UK and internationally, enabling the development of nationally significant flood alleviation schemes, pollution reduction, and infrastructure projects.
Our modelling team is fully integrated with the wider project teams, ensuring that our modellers work closely alongside experts in other areas to develop comprehensive solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver: Lead hydraulic model build and verification of sewer networks; oversee integrated model development, scope and plan projects including flow survey verification, and lead development of catchment scale strategic solutions for flooding and pollution risks.
- Leadership: Mentor and support team members as part of their professional development.
- Quality: Act as a reviewer of hydraulic models, calculations and technical reports, ensure a quality team delivery, and compliance with modelling specifications.
A competitive salary of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum reflects the importance of this role in shaping and leading the future of water infrastructure.
