About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Medical Underwriter to join our team at Royal London. As a Medical Underwriter, you will play a critical role in ensuring our customers receive accurate and fair underwriting decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and own a case pipeline from application to offer, making informed decisions that balance cost and risk while driving customer outcomes and experience.
- Support the Group Customer Service strategy by ensuring robust and accurate medical underwriting decisions are appropriate to the commercial risk and within personal underwriting authority levels.
- Deliver effective customer service within the consumer duty framework.
- Act as a technical point of reference, providing medical underwriting guidance both internally and externally.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have a proven track record of medical underwriting skills, including critical illness, death, and income protection within the UK market. You will also possess sound knowledge and experience of the protection market, as well as the ability to research, analyze, and interpret complex information.
