About the Role
The Hart Surgery is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Salaried GP to join our team as a valued member. As a training practice, we offer a supportive mentorship environment, making this role ideal for newly qualified GPs. We understand the importance of work-life balance and are willing to discuss flexibility around working hours.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload and deal with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of care for all registered and temporary patients.
- Undertake a variety of duties, including surgery consultations, telephone consultations, and queries, as well as checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion.
- Make professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other healthcare workers within the organisation.
- Assess the health care needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems, and develop care plans in consultation with patients and in line with current practice disease management protocols.
- Provide counselling and health education, and admit or discharge patients to and from the caseload as appropriate.
- Record clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards, and collect data for audit purposes.
- Compile and issue computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions, and prescribe in accordance with the practice prescribing formulary or generically whenever clinically appropriate.

The Hart Surgery is a highly regarded training practice situated in the heart of Henley-on-Thames, with a list size of around 10,600 patients. We are a busy and welcoming practice, with excellent patient care at the centre of what we do. We have responsibility for 5 care homes within our local area.
