About the Role

As a Registered Nurse, Nurse Practitioner or Registered Mental Health Nurse seeking professional growth and a better work-life balance, you may be interested in this challenging and rewarding role as a Clinical Assessor at Maximus.

In this position, you will use your clinical expertise to understand how a person's disability or health condition affects their daily life. You will work on complex cases involving physical and mental health conditions and chronic pain disorders while providing compassion and support to customers to help them move forward with their lives.

The role offers a tailored training program to help you thrive, including 6 weeks of initial training before assessing customers and ongoing support and mentorship throughout your tenure. As a valued member of our team, you will have the opportunity to develop your clinical knowledge and assessment skills, utilizing regular feedback and supervision to enhance your performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct telephone, video or face-to-face assessments to gain a comprehensive understanding of how a person's disability or health condition impacts their daily life.
  • Produce Personal Independent Payment (PIP) reports to assist the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) in determining a person's eligibility for benefits.
  • Develop and maintain strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with customers and colleagues.
