About the Role:
Serco Plc is seeking a skilled Marine Systems Specialist to join our team in the UK. As a key member of our maritime support packages, you will be responsible for the operational state and maintenance of all machinery and electrical equipment on board our vessels.

Responsibilities:
• Maintain and operate all propulsion, auxiliary, and deck machinery, electrical appliances, domestic installations, fittings, and structures within and out with the machinery spaces.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant Oil and Environmental Pollution Prevention Legislation and familiarize officers with Emergency Procedures, Contingency Plans, and Safety and Pollution Prevention equipment/appliance.
• Oversee the control configuration of the vessel and all systems/equipment.
• Manage labour and ensure quality workmanship.

Requirements:
• STCW Certificates (Personal Survival Techniques, Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities, Fire Prevention and Fire Fighting, and Certificate of Proficiency in Survival Craft) with 5-year refresher courses
• STCW Elementary First Aid
• Passport
