About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Domestic Supervisor to join our team at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Domestic Services team, you will be responsible for supervising a team of domestic staff and ensuring that our hospital facilities are maintained to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage a team of domestic staff to ensure that our hospital facilities are clean, safe, and well-maintained.
  • Develop and implement effective cleaning schedules and rotas to ensure that our facilities are cleaned to the highest standards.
  • Communicate effectively with our patients, visitors, and staff to ensure that their needs are met and that our facilities are used safely and efficiently.
  • Investigate and resolve any complaints or issues related to our domestic services.
  • Work closely with our Senior Domestic Supervisor to develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure that our domestic services are delivered to the highest standards.

Requirements

  • Level NVQ 3 in a management discipline or equivalent.
  • Experience of supervising a multi-disciplined workforce.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
