They will be responsible for overseeing the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods, as well as managing the inventory levels and ensuring that all stock is accurately recorded.
The Warehouse Manager will also be responsible for leading and developing a team of warehouse staff, providing training and guidance as needed, and ensuring that all health and safety procedures are followed.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues at all levels. They will also have a strong understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day activities of the warehouse, including the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods.
- Oversee the inventory levels and ensure that all stock is accurately recorded.
- Lead and develop a team of warehouse staff, providing training and guidance as needed.
- Ensure that all health and safety procedures are followed.
- Manage the scheduling of goods in and goods out, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
- Work closely with the Transport Department and other departments to enhance inter-departmental relationships and processes.
- Continuously review and update procedures to align with current company policies and practices.
- Conduct general daily, weekly, and monthly audits, and play a key role in annual stock counts.
- Maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers, ensuring effective communication and service.
- Oversee department training, ensuring staff are well-trained and compliant with health and safety standards.
- Ensure the department adheres to all health and safety regulations.
- Manage invoicing, purchase orders, and procurement processes efficiently.
- Handle department recruitment, payroll, hours, shifts, and ROTA management.

- CMI/ILM certification is advantageous but not a requirement.
