Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Water Quality Scientist to join our team at AtkinsRéalis. As a key member of our water quality team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our water management solutions and contributing to projects that safeguard our environment and enhance water quality.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join a team of nearly 200 water management specialists who support our clients in making strategic investment decisions for critical infrastructure. You will work closely with our water quality Technical Authority to coordinate and deliver water quality investigations, and collaborate with other professionals to provide a consistent and integrated service to our clients.

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Water Quality Scientist, you will be responsible for:
  • Coordinating and delivering water quality investigations
  • Working effectively as part of a team to provide a consistent and integrated service to our clients
  • Championing high standards of performance and influencing project development
  • Undertaking your own work to an excellent standard and reviewing the work of others
  • Supporting on bid preparation and developing new areas of business for the team

Requirements:

We are looking for someone with a degree or higher in an environmental or science subject, ideally chartered or working towards chartership. You will have experience in water quality (river, coastal and/or drinking water quality) and good numerical and data analysis skills. You will also have a good knowledge of environmental water quality regulation and an ability to develop innovative approaches in new technical areas and in data-poor environments to support clients in decision-making.
