About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Bid Manager to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. As a Bid Manager, you will be responsible for developing, managing, and growing the bid team in accordance with business needs.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Manage the commercial tendering process, ensuring timely visibility of all opportunities and leading on, writing, and project managing bids and proposals from beginning to end.
  2. Manage the bid/no bid process and decision-making, ensuring that deadlines are met and bids are submitted on time and are as complete and accurate as possible.
  3. Develop a successful strategy for winning bids, including pinpointing unique selling points, understanding customer requirements, and coaching on presentations.
  4. Collate bid feedback, review tenders, and distribute questions to relevant departments.
  5. Attend departmental BDM meetings and liaise with the head of the department to support the implementation of their plans.
  6. Assist with the review of contract performance by collating data from the system and customer feedback forms.
  7. Prepare and upkeep high-quality responses for future reference.
  8. Keep the team up to date with relevant tender actions and milestones.

About You

We are looking for a customer relationship-focused individual with excellent commercial awareness, prioritization skills, and communication skills. You should be able to demonstrate high levels of initiative and motivation, work closely with other team members, and influence and persuade others.
