Residential Care Manager

Job Title: Registered Manager
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Manager to join our team at Daisy Nook Recruitment Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a 4-bed children's residential home in Chatham, Kent.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a strong caring ethos based on our client's statement of purpose.
- Manage the physical resources of the home in line with legal, inspection, and registration guidelines.
- Establish and monitor clear child protection procedures in line with the Protection of Children Act and company policies.
- Liaise with social workers, schools, therapists, and other professionals to represent the child's needs or wishes.
- Attend court and give evidence when required, and support staff in preparing children for interviews or court appearances.
- Facilitate good practice in team management and team building, incorporating meeting and training sessions.
- Monitor and review procedures for caring for children when they are ill, including the administration of medicines.
- Facilitate leisure activities for children and young people, including organizing holidays and trips.
Requirements:
- NVQ Level 5
- Previous experience of managing an Ofsted-regulated children's residential home
- Previous experience of working with children with behavioral difficulties and challenging behavior
- Driving license
