Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve meals to residents, adhering to health, safety, and hygiene standards.
  • Manage food storage, handling, and disposal, minimizing waste and ensuring compliance with food safety procedures.
  • Collaborate with the Chef Manager to plan and implement menus, taking into account resident preferences and dietary requirements.
  • Escalate any concerns or issues related to food safety, hygiene, or resident well-being.

Requirements

  • Level 2 food safety certificate and knowledge of health and safety procedures, including COSHH.
  • Previous catering experience, with a focus on basic food safety and safe use of knives and kitchen equipment.
  • Experience working with older people, with a understanding of their nutritional needs and preferences.
