FP&A and Reporting Manager

Buckden Partners is seeking an experienced FP&A and Reporting Manager to join their team. As a key member of the finance team, you will play a pivotal role in driving business growth and success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with financial control and other key areas to ensure a smooth month-end close, enabling clear and accurate reporting for the business.
  • Own the production of monthly management accounting packs, providing timely and actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Establish strong relationships across the business, interpreting and communicating financial data to both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
  • Be at the forefront of problem-solving and strategic developments, advising on the financial implications and consequences of business decisions.
  • Work in partnership with senior stakeholders to drive sustainable cost efficiencies and optimize investments.
  • Develop best-in-class management information, insights, and reporting, improving business and financial modeling to support short-term and long-term strategic objectives.
  • Monitor and evaluate financial information systems, making improvements as needed.
  • Support the business with internal and external data requests, such as shareholder and regulatory bodies.

Requirements:

  • Finance professional with recognized accountancy qualifications and post-qualification experience in a relevant role.
  • Strong leadership and storytelling skills, with a deep understanding of financial concepts, including financial statements, ratios, and performance metrics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with non-finance stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, data analysis, and financial software.
  • Significant experience in managing ambiguity in a financial environment, with strong evaluation and the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent technical financial and accounting knowledge, with application in a complex and commercial environment.
  • Experience in mortgage or consumer credit business, ideally financed through capital markets (warehouse and RMBS facilities).
  • Flexible with the ability to think, act, and impact at both the strategic and tactical levels.
  • Experience with Anaplan and Fusion General Ledger is an advantage.
