Job Description

Oculus Legal Group is seeking an experienced Legal Practice Manager to lead the administration function in our Dispute Resolution Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of administrative processes and procedures, providing support to the Head of Department, and contributing to the success of our firm.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Administrative Oversight: Provide leadership and guidance to ensure that all administrative processes and procedures are followed, and that the department's administrative function is running efficiently.
  • Support to the Head of Department: Assist the Head of Department in managing the department's administrative tasks, including diary management, scheduling, and administrative assistance.
  • Administrative Assistance: Provide administrative support to the department, including preparation of agendas, minutes, and data for departmental meetings, and assistance with processing complaints.
  • Fee Earner Administration: Gather and process fee earner's updated billing information, and liaise with the Accounts department to ensure accurate forecasting and billing.
  • Business Development: Lead departmental business development meetings, and provide feedback to the Head of Department and Business Relationships Manager.
  • Ad Hoc Duties: Perform other administrative duties as required to support the department's operations.
Requirements:
  • High Personal Standards: Demonstrate high personal standards of work, and a commitment to delivering exceptional results.
  • Prior Management Experience: Possess prior management experience, with a proven track record of leading administrative teams.
  • Commercial Awareness: Demonstrate strong commercial awareness, and a deep understanding of the legal services industry.
  • Previous Experience: Possess previous experience as a Senior PA/EA, Senior Legal Secretary, Legal Administration Manager, or similar role.
