Learning Disability Support Assistant

Job Role:- Support adults with Learning Disabilities in a safe and nurturing environment, promoting independence and autonomy.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement personalized care plans, addressing unique needs and goals.
- Participate in staff training and development programs, enhancing knowledge and skills in learning disability support.
- Contribute to maintaining accurate records of service user interactions, progress, and feedback, supporting quality assurance and improvement.
- Deliver high-quality support to service users, adhering to agreed duty rotas and shift patterns, including nights and sleep-ins.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with service users, families, and colleagues, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.
- Support service users in various aspects of daily life, including personal care, meal preparation, and leisure activities.
- Engage in ongoing training and professional development, staying up-to-date with best practices in learning disability support.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in Home Care or related field, with a strong understanding of learning disability support principles.
- Full driving license or access to a vehicle beneficial for this role, with flexibility to work varied shifts.
- DBS check preferred, with willingness to undergo further checks as required.
- NVQ Level 2 certificate in Health & Social Care desirable, with commitment to ongoing education and training.
