Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer - HV Distribution Specialist

Belcan Workforce Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Senior Electrical Engineer with expertise in High Voltage (HV) distribution to join our team in Manchester, UK.

This role will involve working closely with the HV Team Leader to ensure the quality and consistency of the team's output in the production and control of drawings and technical documents.

The successful candidate will also work with the Power Sector Director to assist during the bid process to secure further work.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Production of all designs, calculations, reports & drawings associated with new or modification of HV projects from 400V (LV) to 33kV (single line diagrams, key line diagrams, Layout drawings, technical specifications and other design deliverables).
  2. Manage the production of project deliverables through a robust checking process but must also support the CAD technicians with the development of drawings and support the actual delivery of the outputs.
Requirements:
  1. Minimum HNC (with relevant work experience) in Electrical Engineering, with Power / HV background.
  2. Ideally MEng / Msc in Electrical Engineering, with Power / HV background.
  3. Working toward CEng status is seen as beneficial, however not essential.
  4. Enthusiastic and mature enough to operate in a diverse team and work without full time supervision.
