Child Welfare Specialist

This is an exceptional opportunity for a driven and compassionate individual to make a real difference in the lives of children and families. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with children, families, and multi-agency teams to improve family outcomes, focusing on safeguarding children and empowering families to thrive independently.
Salary and BenefitsWe offer a competitive salary of £45,000 - £48,000 per annum (dependent on experience), plus a range of benefits including 20 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays, company pension scheme, and opportunities for professional development, coaching, and mentoring.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement tailored support plans in collaboration with families, children, and other professionals.
- Manage complex court cases involving child protection investigations, ensuring all interventions prioritize child welfare and family support.
- Coordinate and chair meetings, produce concise reports, and engage effectively with children and their families.
- A Social Work qualification and HCPC registration with at least 2 years of experience.
- Proven experience managing complex children and family cases, particularly in court proceedings and child protection.
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding principles and children's social care theory, legislation, and practices.
