About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled BMS Systems Engineer to join our team at Johnson Controls International. As a BMS Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for providing site support for project delivery teams and identifying growth opportunities for our business units.

Key Responsibilities

  • Configure and maintain building control systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers, suppliers, and vendors to drive business growth and improve service delivery.
  • Load and commission system and network-level controllers as required, ensuring seamless integration and operation.
  • Develop skills in JCI Cloud-based technologies to stay ahead of the curve and drive innovation.
  • Coach and mentor apprentices to develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Consult and train customer representatives in system operations, ensuring they have the necessary expertise to get the most out of our solutions.
  • Document service activities and create service reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Assist the key accounts manager with pricing and design of project opportunities to drive business growth.

Requirements

  • 2-6 years of experience in control systems as a service engineer.
  • HNC/HND (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Focus on innovation and improving the service delivery model, as well as leading the implementation of improvements within the VIP customer base.
  • Ability to manage and influence both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience.
  • Good computer literacy (MS Office; Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Ability to work alone and when necessary, within the wider service team, with a proactive approach to ongoing learning.
  • Full clean UK driving license.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional certifications/diploma within a related field.
  • Working knowledge of Metasys systems in both industrial and commercial environments.
