Special Educational Needs Assistant

We are looking for an exceptional Special Educational Needs (SEN) Assistant to join our dynamic team in Cambridge. As a valued member of our educational support staff, you will play a crucial role in providing individualized support to students with special educational needs.

About the Job:

  1. You will provide one-to-one assistance to students, ensuring they meet their learning goals.
  2. Work collaboratively with the teaching team to implement specialized learning plans and educational interventions.
  3. Develop and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  4. Engage with the teaching team, parents, and external professionals to create tailored strategies for each student's progress.
  5. Maintain accurate records of students' academic and social-emotional development.

Your Skills and Qualities:

  • A deep commitment to supporting children and young people with special educational needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships.
  • Patience, empathy, and flexibility in adapting teaching strategies to meet individual needs.
  • Relevant experience or qualifications in special education (desirable but not essential).
  • Able to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
