Job Description

Job Title: Quantity Surveyor - Commercial Team

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our Commercial Team in Dewsbury. As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in managing and delivering the financial and commercial aspects of individual projects and larger portfolios of frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Commercial Team to update project costing reports as required.
  • Prepare Activity Schedules, Bills of Quantities, and Resource profiling.
  • Prepare Applications for Payment for submission to Clients.
  • Sub-contract administration, including developing sub-contract documents, reviewing, and agreeing valuations, managing variations, and negotiating final accounts.
  • Analyse the commercial progress of allocated projects, working closely with the project delivery team.
  • Prepare internal reports, such as financial reconciliation and anticipated project performance.

Requirements:

  • RICS recognised qualification or equivalent in one or more of the following – Surveying, Construction, or Civil Engineering.
  • Experience in NEC contracts would be beneficial.
  • Contractual awareness.
  • Good IT literacy with competency in Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
