About the Role
The Estimator vacancy is a key position within our client's organization, working closely with a leading designer and manufacturer of products utilized within the construction sector. As an Estimator, you will be responsible for responding to product enquiries from a wide range of housing developers and general customer enquiries in the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide estimates and quotations from technical briefs, utilizing your knowledge of construction and building processes.
- Service product enquiries originating from customers and external sales teams.
- Understand and define key product requirements from customer enquiries, ensuring accurate and timely responses.
- Offer product knowledge and guidance to provide customer support, fostering strong relationships with clients.
- Provide estimating services to facilitate customer quotation requirements, working closely with the CAD team to ensure seamless project execution.
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to convert project design and in-house detailing for customer and factory needs.
Requirements
- Capacity to interpret by estimation techniques to provide quotations, with a strong understanding of construction and building processes.
- Previous experience of providing estimates to customers of a technical nature, with a proven track record of accuracy and efficiency.
- Strong Excel and computer skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
- The ability to interpret basic CAD drawings would be advantageous, but not essential.
- A knowledge of construction and construction processes would be advantageous, but not essential.
