About the Role

We are seeking a Specialty Doctor in Forensic Psychiatry to join our team at Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust. This is a full-time replacement post, and we are looking for a dedicated and passionate individual to work with our existing consultant and junior doctor team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality patient care and management in our inpatient and community forensic services.
  • Work collaboratively with our multi-disciplinary team, including non-consultant medical staff, psychology, occupational therapy, social work, and nursing and health-care support work.
  • Develop and implement effective care plans, taking into account the individual needs of our service users.
  • Provide community forensic liaison to local general adult services, offering opinions on risk management, future referrals, post-discharge advice, and care pathway transition.

Qualifications

  • Recognised basic Medical Degree.
  • Full GMC Registration with license to practice.

Desirable

  • MRCPsych.
  • Section 12(2) approved.
