Job Summary

The Associate Director of Clinical Operations will provide strategic oversight of clinical trials in the UK and Ireland, ensuring timely and efficient execution of development operations activities. This role requires a strong understanding of clinical operations, regulatory processes, and drug development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the planning, execution, and oversight of clinical trials in the UK and Ireland
  • Collaborate with Development Operations and countries to ensure alignment on country strategy and execution
  • Act as the country Clinical Operations expert, providing support for the set-up and maintenance of clinical trials
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with key investigators and research institutions
  • Represent Incyte externally and build relationships with key stakeholders
  • Ensure country inspection readiness and develop country work instructions and procedures as needed
  • Track country KPIs and implement corrective actions as needed
  • Contribute to the improvement of Development Operations SOPs and processes
Requirements
  • Minimum Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in clinical operations, including at least 3 years in a role of primary responsibility for clinical trial execution and management
  • Operational and direct managerial experience in the planning, executing, and reporting of clinical trials
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and lead a multi-disciplinary team
  • Experience in developing effective relationships with key investigators
  • Good knowledge of GCP, clinical trial design, statistics, regulatory processes, and drug development process
  • Excellent organisational, problem-solving, and written/verbal communication skills
