Job Title: Public Health Service Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Public Health Service Lead to join our multi-disciplinary public health team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the delivery of Health Protection work and managing a team of Public Health Officers and Senior Officers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the delivery of Health Protection workstreams, including immunisations & screening programmes, emergency planning, preparedness, and response, and community engagement around key health protection issues.
  • Manage and develop the Health Protection Team, providing guidance and support to team members.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including UK Health Security Agency and NHS Birmingham & Solihull ICB, to protect the health of residents.
  • Support and lead responses to complex Health Protection incidents.
Requirements:
  • Experience of managing teams and relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Project/programme management and statistical analysis/epidemiological methodologies to support evidence-based working.
  • Public Health Practitioner registration or working towards it.
