Teaching Assistant Opportunity - Secondary School

We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Teaching Assistant to support students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) or Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) requirements in a well-established secondary school in the London Borough of Barnet.

The successful candidate will have a degree-level qualification and experience working with young people who face barriers to learning. The role offers the opportunity to gain valuable experience and skills in a supportive and collaborative environment.

The daily rate for this position is £105-£110, reflecting the importance of the role in supporting students' academic progress and well-being.

About the Role
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Support students with SEND and/or SEMH needs through tailored interventions and strategies
  • Develop strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure effective communication and support
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge
Key Requirements
  • Degree-level qualification in a relevant field
  • Relevant experience working with young people with SEND or SEMH needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work effectively in a team setting
