Job Summary:

MW Appointments is seeking an experienced Account Handler to join their Specialty team in Surrey. As an Account Handler, you will be responsible for servicing existing clients and gaining new business within the Sport & Entertainment team.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Client Service: Respond to client enquiries, insurers, and third parties in a timely and professional manner.
  • Account Management: Work within agreed authority levels to manage client needs and provide suitable insurance options.
  • New Business: Process new business, renewals, midterm adjustments, and lapses in accordance with current procedures and FCA requirements.
  • Data Management: Input accurate data into back office systems and maintain records.
  • Relationship Building: Liaise with insurers and underwriters to secure risk acceptance at favourable rates.
  • Reporting: Prepare reports on new and existing risks for management.
  • Task Management: Take responsibility for managing tasks and updates using the Diary System.

Requirements:

  • Commercial Insurance Experience: Proven experience in commercial insurance.
  • Business Acumen: Ability to build successful, mutually beneficial business/client relationships.
  • Industry Knowledge: Understanding of broking and underwriting processes.
  • Organizational Skills: Highly organized, with good planning skills.
  • Flexibility: Able to work flexibly to achieve tight deadlines/targets.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Schemes Business Experience: Experience with schemes business.
  • CII Qualifications: Completion of, or progress towards, CII qualifications.
