Job Summary:

MW Appointments is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Account Handler to join their Specialty team in Surrey. As an Account Handler, you will be responsible for servicing existing clients and gaining new business within the Sport & Entertainment team.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Respond to client inquiries, insurer requests, and third-party communications in a timely and professional manner.
  • Manage client needs within agreed authority levels, providing expert advice on suitable insurance options.
  • Process new business, renewals, midterm adjustments, and lapses in accordance with current procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Input accurate data into back-office systems and maintain comprehensive records.
  • Liaise with insurers and underwriters to secure risk acceptance at favorable rates.
  • Prepare reports on new and existing risks for management.
  • Utilize the Diary System to manage tasks and updates efficiently.

Essential Skills:

  • Commercial insurance experience with a proven track record.
  • Ability to build strong, mutually beneficial business relationships with clients.
  • Understanding of broking and underwriting processes.
  • Highly organized with excellent planning and time management skills.
  • Able to work flexibly to meet tight deadlines and targets.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Experience in schemes business.
  • Completion of, or progress towards, CII qualifications.

About the Role:

  • Permanent position with a competitive salary up to £35,000.
  • Based in Surrey with a hybrid work arrangement.
