About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Economist Research Fellow to join our team at Lifelancer, a talent-hiring platform in Life Sciences, Pharma, and IT. As a Chief Economist Research Fellow, you will be responsible for conducting high-quality impactful research, providing policy advice to governments, public authorities, or similar, and collaborating with diverse stakeholders.

Job Description:

  • Conduct economic research and analysis on various topics, including sustainable development reform, government finance, and data science.
  • Collaborate with governments and researchers in Australia and overseas to ensure your work impacts policy decision processes around the world.
  • Build close relationships through in-country visits, workshops, and fieldwork.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • PhD in applied economics or relevant work experience across public finance, analysis for policy making, national accounts, environmental economics accounts, national capital accounting, or ecosystem evaluation.
  • Experience working on marine-related issues is highly desirable.
  • High-level communication skills and ability to network effectively and interact with a diverse range of stakeholders.
