About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist/Counselling Psychologist to join our Neuropsychology team at South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will provide specialist clinical services to patients with a range of medical conditions, including neurosurgery, neurology, neurophysiology, stroke, and neurorehabilitation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist psychological and neuropsychological assessment and treatment to patients across the full range of care settings, including outpatient, community, primary care, and inpatient settings.
  • Exercise full clinical responsibility for patients' psychological care and treatment, both as an individual practitioner and within the context of multidisciplinary care.
  • Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of training programs for staff and students.
  • Participate in clinical audit, research, and service evaluation to improve patient outcomes and service delivery.

Requirements

  • Minimum psychology degree 2:1.
  • Post-graduate doctoral level training in Clinical Psychology (or its equivalent for those trained prior to 1996) or Counselling Psychology as accredited by the BPS &/or HCPC.
  • HCPC Registration as a Clinical Psychologist or Counselling Psychologist.
  • Post-doctoral training in a therapeutic approach relevant to the psychological needs of medical patients.
  • Actively working towards registration with the BPS Specialist Register of Clinical Neuropsychologists (SRCN).
