About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Trainer and Assessor to join our End of Life Services team at Southern Co-op. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality training and assessment sessions to our colleagues across the south of England.

Key Responsibilities
  • Training Delivery: Design and deliver engaging virtual and classroom-based training sessions to ensure all colleagues have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver exceptional end-of-life care.
  • Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct regular colleague assessments to identify skill gaps and ensure a consistent high standard of service delivery.
  • Training Support: Provide short-notice training support to address identified skill gaps and ensure our colleagues have the necessary skills to deliver our services.
  • Course Development: Collaborate with our Academy design team to enhance and develop training courses that meet the needs of our colleagues and the business.
  • Compliance and Quality: Ensure all training and assessment activities are conducted in line with industry compliance, company policies, statutory legislation, and internal KPIs.
  • Operational Support: Spend a minimum of 10% of your time working within the End of Life Services operation to consolidate your skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • IT Literacy: Proficient user of Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills with the ability to adapt to different learning styles.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Empathy and Compassion: High level of understanding, empathy, and compassion when working with colleagues and customers.
  • Driving License: Full, valid UK driving license and access to a car.
