The Derby College Group is seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to lead the strategic development of the Students' Union. As a full-time Students' Union Manager, you will be based across all College sites and play a vital role in shaping the student experience.

With a strong focus on student engagement and support, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to enhance the Students' Union's reputation and influence. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students and contribute to the success of the College.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance the Students' Union's reputation and influence.
  • Lead and manage a team of student representatives and staff to deliver high-quality student services.
  • Collaborate with College staff and students to promote student engagement and participation.
  • Develop and manage budgets to ensure effective use of resources.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of student services and make recommendations for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a leadership or management role, preferably in a student union or similar environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with students, staff, and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to develop and implement strategic plans and manage budgets.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Knowledge of student engagement and participation strategies, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a College setting.

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary range: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Working Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week.
