Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Social Worker to join our Front Door Team in Northumberland. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to provide immediate support and intervention to children and families in need.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct initial assessments of children and families to identify their needs and determine appropriate interventions.
  • Work collaboratively with health, education, and police services to ensure a coordinated approach to safeguarding children.
  • Provide immediate and short-term interventions to protect children and promote their welfare.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with children, families, and carers, ensuring their voices are heard and respected.
  • Prepare and present reports for child protection conferences, reviews, and court proceedings.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with statutory and departmental requirements.
  • Participate in regular supervision and continuous professional development opportunities.
