Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Catering Services Manager to join our team at Hampshire County Council.

Job Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to provide vital support to our kitchen teams as a Mobile Catering Unit Manager covering the Waterlooville and Petersfield area.

About the Role

As a Catering Services Manager, you will be responsible for managing a busy kitchen producing delicious food from fresh ingredients for children in schools. You will travel to various locations to run the kitchen, working term time during school hours.

You will need to be highly organized, personable, and have experience of managing a team. Each kitchen is different, so the ability to quickly adapt to the team and environment is important.

Experience of working in a similar catering environment is essential, and we will give you all the training and ongoing professional development you need to succeed.

You will also be responsible for meeting all travel requirements of the role.

Requirements
  • A minimum 12 months' experience in a similar catering role
  • Proven ability to manage a team and work effectively under pressure
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities
