Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Risk Lawyer to join our team at Pembury Legal. As a key member of our risk management team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our compliance and risk management strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contract Drafting and Negotiation: Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, including supplier agreements, NDAs, and licensing agreements, providing strategic advice to minimize risks and ensure favorable terms.
  • Procurement Support: Advise on the legal aspects of procurement processes, identifying areas for improvement and collaborating with stakeholders to optimize workflows.
  • Legal Advisory: Offer guidance on commercial contract issues, data protection compliance, and stay updated on relevant regulatory changes.
  • Dispute Resolution: Assist in managing disputes arising from contracts or procurement activities.
  • Training and Development: Conduct training sessions on contract management and procurement, and mentor junior legal team members.

Requirements:

  • Qualified lawyer with at least 5 years PQE experience in risk management or as an in-house lawyer.
  • Strong background in commercial law, particularly in procurement and contract management.
  • Solid understanding of data protection legislation.
  • Experience in regulatory compliance, including SRA Standards and Regulations, is desirable.
