Job Title: Electrical Installation Operative

Wrightbus is seeking a skilled Electrical Installation Operative to join our production team. As an Electrical Installation Operative, you will be responsible for the installation and connection of vehicle wiring harnesses and providing assistance to Electricians involved in the test of chassis and body electrical control systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Comply with the company's health and safety policy and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Ensure that work carried out meets the Wrightbus agreed quality standard and adheres to quality sign offs and procedures.
  • Assist Electricians in the installation of vehicle electrical control systems to specification requirements.
  • Install vehicle wiring harnesses and components as detailed in contract build documentation.
  • Connect various automotive and high voltage connections up to 800V AC or DC.
  • Assist Electricians in the test and commissioning of the vehicle electrical system.
  • Assist Electricians in the fault finding and repair of the vehicle electrical system.
  • Ensure installation is completed in accordance with allocated process time.
Requirements:
  • Must be prepared to work overtime when requested by management.
  • Undertake any training or retraining associated with the post, or introduction of new working practices or engineering changes.
  • General duties include undertaking all tasks in line with General Data Protection and maintaining utmost level of confidentiality.
