About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Podiatrist to join our team at HMP Altcourse, providing high-quality care to patients in a challenging yet rewarding environment. As a Podiatrist in this role, you will be responsible for assessing and treating patients with complex and chronic presentations, including diabetic patients, wound management, MSK pathologies, and nail surgery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and treat patients with a range of conditions, including diabetic patients, wound management, MSK pathologies, and nail surgery.
  • Determine clinical diagnosis and clinical treatment, and maintain records as an autonomous practitioner.
  • Work closely with the wider MSK Health in Justice Team, comprising of physiotherapists and podiatrists working in 54 prisons across the country.

Requirements:

  • HCPC registration with post-registration experience assessing and treating a range of conditions.
  • Self-motivated with excellent communication and organisational skills.
