About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Podiatrist to join our team at HMP Altcourse, providing high-quality foot care services to patients in a correctional facility setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and treat patients with complex and chronic foot conditions, including diabetic patients, wound management, and nail surgery.
  • Determine clinical diagnosis and treatment plans, maintaining accurate records as an autonomous practitioner.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including GPs, nurses, and mental health professionals, to deliver best practice treatment.
  • Participate in the MSK Health in Justice Team, working with physiotherapists and podiatrists across 54 prisons in the country.

Requirements:

  • HCPC registration and post-registration experience in assessing and treating a range of conditions.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Self-motivated and committed to delivering high-quality patient care.
