Specialist Physiotherapist for Children's Neurosciences Service

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly specialist physiotherapist to join our team in the children's neurosciences service at Bristol Royal Hospital for Children. The successful candidate will provide highly specialist physiotherapy for children undergoing Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy (SDR) or within the acute neurosciences service.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide highly specialist physiotherapy for children undergoing SDR or within the acute neurosciences service.
- Assist in the development of the service as a member of the multidisciplinary team.
- Provide a source of expertise locally, nationally and internationally.
- Act as a source of expertise and demonstrate advanced knowledge and experience in the highly skilled management of children requiring rehabilitation.
- Provide specialist advice to other members of the multi-disciplinary team and to provide clinical education and training to others within the Trust and externally.
- Take a lead role in the management of more difficult and complex cases within a multi-disciplinary team approach, acting as an autonomous practitioner.
- Assist across the neurosciences service, supporting colleagues to provide suitable rehabilitation opportunities for all patients.
- Be an active member of the 24 hours and weekend on-call service, undertaking assessment and treatment of acutely ill children.
