We currently have an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled Lead Physiotherapist to join our multidisciplinary team working with children and young people with rare bone conditions.

About the Role

This is a Band 7 post that offers the opportunity to work across a variety of settings to provide a comprehensive physiotherapy service for children with Osteogenesis Imperfecta (OI) and other rare bone disorders. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for developing and delivering specialist physiotherapy services, providing expertise to other professionals locally, nationally, and internationally.

The successful candidate will have excellent clinical skills, strong communication and leadership abilities, and a passion for working with children and families affected by rare bone conditions. You will be based at one of our main hospitals but will have the opportunity to work across various locations within the trust.

Key Responsibilities
  • To develop and deliver specialist physiotherapy services for children with OI and other rare bone disorders
  • To provide expert advice and guidance to other healthcare professionals on best practice in physiotherapy for these conditions
  • To work closely with colleagues from other disciplines to ensure seamless care for our patients
  • To contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to physiotherapy services
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • HCPC registration as a physiotherapist
  • Postgraduate qualification in paediatric physiotherapy or a related field
  • Significant experience working with children and young people with complex needs
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • A passion for working with children and families affected by rare bone conditions
