About Our Future Health

We are seeking a Study Support Centre Advisor to serve as the primary point of contact for study volunteers within Our Future Health. This role is pivotal in guiding volunteers through their journey with our programme, working closely with volunteers, internal staff, and external partners such as Researchers, Nurses, and GPs to provide accurate information and advice.

This is a unique opportunity to learn about our organisation and progress into other opportunities as we grow. Our ambitious plan aims to bring together 5 million volunteers from across the UK, contributing to one of the most detailed pictures of people's health ever created. Researchers will use this information to make new discoveries about human health and diseases, benefiting future generations.

We are looking for individuals who strive to deliver excellent service and a positive experience. Your studies and career have equipped you with exceptional rapport-building skills, enabling you to understand and discuss complex, sensitive issues. You will be empathetic, inspiring trust in others through open and clear communication.

To succeed in this role, you will need to demonstrate experience in the following areas:

  1. Effective communication with the public and colleagues, both verbally and in writing.
  2. Dealing with the public in a polite and sensitive manner, with an understanding of confidentiality.
  3. A commitment to providing high-quality service at all times.
  4. Understanding complex scientific concepts and explaining them simply.
  5. Competency with software programmes including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  6. Basic database interrogation and collating datasets in a logical format.
  7. Fluency in English, with skills in other languages being useful.
  8. A science-based degree or experience supporting a similar research programme.
  9. Knowledge of support software such as Zendesk/Freshdesk or electronic health systems.
  10. Flexibility to work 35 hours per week over 7 days, with shifts between 8:00 am and 8:00 pm.

Our benefits include:

  1. A basic salary of up to £35,000 per annum.
  2. A generous company pension package with employer contributions of up to 12%.
  3. 30 days annual holiday allowance.
  4. A hybrid working schedule and a lovely new office in Central London.

We actively encourage applications from people of all backgrounds and cultures, recognising the importance of a diverse workforce in achieving our goal of making discoveries that benefit everyone.
