Job Summary
Rydon is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Team Lead to join our esteemed repairs and maintenance team in Essex. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance of various healthcare buildings, including St Margarets Hospital, Epping, and Hertford Hospital.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage a team of maintenance operatives to ensure the delivery of high-quality repairs and maintenance services.
- Undertake a mix of supervisory duties and hands-on maintenance work to maintain a high level of technical expertise.
- Manage and supervise contractors to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
- Conduct site inductions and provide training to new team members.
- Develop and implement maintenance plans to ensure the optimal performance of our facilities.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a maintenance or supervisory role within the NHS or a similar healthcare setting.
- Strong technical skills in areas such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and painting and decorating.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage a team and interact with clients.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve goals and objectives.
- Proficiency in Microsoft packages such as Outlook and other relevant software.
