Job Overview

Austin Fraser is seeking a highly skilled Power Station Operations Manager to oversee the safe and efficient operation of our plant in South London. This full-time permanent role offers a competitive salary of £80,000 + benefits and bonus.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the operational, mechanical, and electrical & instrument maintenance teams and contractors to ensure compliance with HSE rules and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Ensure the plant operates within its parameters while maintaining strict safety standards.
  2. Provide technical supervision and assistance to staff engaged in work.
  3. Develop and implement effective training programs to ensure personnel are competent to undertake their duties.
  4. Collaborate on outage planning, plant improvement projects, and plant optimisation initiatives.
Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must have a relevant technical qualification such as an ONC/HNC/HNC/Degree in Mechanical Engineering discipline, along with at least 5 years' experience in an operational environment on a power station. Senior Royal Navy Marine Engineers with significant watch-keeping experience are also eligible.
IOSH or NEBOSH certification is required, and Senior Authorised Persons Status or experience with High Voltage equipment is a plus.
