The Role
We are seeking a dedicated Mentor for SEMH Students to join our team at a dynamic school environment. The successful candidate will support children with SEMH needs in an inclusion unit at the school, helping to create a nurturing and encouraging atmosphere where every child can thrive.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Manage classroom behavior and support teachers in their daily tasks
- Evaluate potential risks to ensure children's safety and well-being
- Collaborate with colleagues to achieve common goals
- Apply knowledge of the curriculum in your daily activities
- Communicate effectively with children and adults, both verbally and in writing
What You'll Need
- Be able to perform the duties as described
- Have a compassionate and empathetic nature, with insight into children's unique needs
- Understand sensory processing issues and communication challenges
- Build strong relationships with children and colleagues
- Be flexible and able to work independently and as part of a team
