Zachary Daniels is seeking a highly skilled Quality Engineer to join their team in Fife. As a Quality Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of quality in the design, engineering, and manufacturing of leading products for the Oil and Gas industry.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing supplier performance, developing supplier capabilities, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of product requirements. You will also be responsible for communicating quality requirements and initiatives to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supplier Performance Management: Manage each assigned supplier's safety, quality, and delivery performance through defined metrics and KPIs.
  • Supplier Development: Develop supplier capabilities through a commitment to continuous improvement, empowerment, and management by data.
  • Quality Requirements: Maintain up-to-date understanding of product requirements and communicate quality requirements and initiatives to stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Problem-Solving Methodologies: Understand the concepts and application of problem-solving methodologies such as 6 Sigma and 8D, and the concepts of 5S and Lean.
  • Technical Skills: Good PC skills, including knowledge of Word Processing, Spreadsheets, Statistical Analysis, and Presentation software.
  • Manufacturing Processes: Good understanding of core manufacturing and inspection processes such as forging, fabrication, machining, coating, welding, and NDT.
  • Industry Standards: Understand the interactions between industry and regulatory standards and customer requirements.
  • Desirable Qualification: 6 Sigma Greenbelt or equivalent.
