NRL is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to develop and improve suppliers' processes for business goals related to Procurement Supplier Quality Management. This includes Supplier training, performance analysis, and improvement process involvement.

Job Purpose:

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of product requirements and communicate Quality requirements and initiatives.
  • Manage each assigned Supplier's Safety, Quality, and Delivery performance through defined metrics and KPIs.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop Supplier's capability through a commitment to Continuous Improvement using empowerment and management by data.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry/regulatory standards and customer requirements.
  • Support and Conduct Supplier Qualification activities as defined by Global Business Management System procedures.
Required Skills:
  • Good understanding of core manufacturing & inspection processes such as forging, fabrication, machining, coating, welding, NDT.
  • Good PC skills, including knowledge of Word Processing; Spreadsheets; Statistical Analysis & Presentation software.
  • Good people skills, presentation skills, and ability to train.
Desirable Skills:
  • 6 Sigma Greenbelt or equivalent.
