As an integral part of our Birmingham Forward Steps service, you will play a vital role in providing accessible, community-based services to families with pre-school children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver Stay & Play sessions that promote child development and engage families in positive play.
  • Collaborate with health visitors to undertake 2-year development checks and follow-up visits to support families in need.
  • Support the delivery of baby activities and ensure inclusive practice for children with SEND needs.
  • Collect and analyze data to demonstrate outcomes for children and inform service development.
  • Ensure the suitability, safety, and cleanliness of toys and equipment, and replenish supplies as required.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in working hours and location.
  • Knowledge of child development and early years education.
  • Experience of working with families and children in a community setting.
