About the Role:
Carnival UK is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ventilation Systems Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Electro-Technical department, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the ship's ventilation, main AC water chiller systems, and domestic refrigeration plant to ensure our luxury ships are safe and efficient.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Electro-Technical department in the maintenance and delivery of the asset management plan to ensure the ship technically meets the needs of the business.
- Manage the development of the ventilation team and supervise junior officers, cadets, and technicians.
- Ensure the ship's ventilation systems are operating efficiently and effectively, with a focus on customer service and quality of life on board.
- Collaborate with the Electro-Technical department to identify and implement improvements to the ship's ventilation systems.
- Develop and maintain a high level of technical knowledge and expertise in refrigeration and ventilation systems.
Requirements:
- Relevant Refrigeration Qualification (e.g., City & Guilds, BTEC, or equivalent).
- Solid proven experience of working within the refrigeration industry, with a focus on ventilation systems.
- Good command of written and spoken English or Passed Marlins English test of Proficiency (where applicable).
- Valid ENG1 medical certificate or equivalent for the duration of each voyage.
- Experience on board a cruise ship is desirable, but not essential.
