Job Description

We are seeking a Hospital Ambassador to provide a warm and welcoming experience for patients, visitors, and staff at The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust. As the first point of contact, you will be responsible for ensuring all enquiries and requests are responded to in a timely and professional manner.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a friendly and approachable demeanor, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will be expected to maintain a high standard of service, providing information about hospital facilities, directing visitors to their destination, and supporting patients with additional challenges.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Greeting patients, visitors, and staff in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Assisting those who appear anxious or confused.
  • Providing directions to hospital departments and responding to general enquiries.
  • Offering wheelchair assistance and obtaining/pushing wheelchairs as needed.
  • Being supportive towards patients with sensory or physical impairments or long-term conditions.
