Job Title: Therapy Assistant - Speech & Language or Occupational Therapies

Location: London

Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Salary: £19,000 - £26,000

MLK Education Search is supporting an Outstanding Specialist ASD School in appointing a Therapy Assistant to work across the school and alongside our multi-professional therapy team; mainly with Speech & Language and Occupational Therapy.

You will be integral to the delivery of daily programmes and supporting the work of the Speech and Language or Occupational Therapy teams, in addition to promoting school improvement projects around communication and pupil voice.

You will be able to develop your main practice whilst also developing a knowledge of other disciplines (Speech & Language, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Creative Therapies, Sensory Impairment). This will enable you to seemingly integrate your daily work alongside other professionals, as well as maximise the impact of your own work by ensuring pupils are positioned correctly, ready to engage and able to best focus with the resources you use.

The school has two provisions supporting Primary and Secondary aged students between 5 and 16, most of whom have EHCPs for specialist language or communication needs.

The successful applicant will receive a comprehensive and bespoke induction programme and the support of a large and caring school and therapeutic team. You will also have the opportunity to access funding, or part-funding, towards your therapeutic studies and continued development, both personally and professionally.
