Clinical Psychologist in Paediatric Psychology Service

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Psychologist to join our Paediatric Psychology Service in North Devon. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will be working with children and young people experiencing significant and complex mental health difficulties and their families.
Main Responsibilities:- Offer high-quality psychological care to children and young people
- Bring advanced formulation skills and consultation to the team
- Contribute to service development and improvement
- Work collaboratively with service users and their families/carers
- Undertake specialist psychological assessments and provide evidence-based interventions
- Professional Doctorate in Clinical Psychology or equivalent
- Post-qualification specialist therapy/assessment training relevant to children and young people
- Experience of working collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team and across agencies
- Ability to work with complex needs and undertake risk assessments
This is a Band 7 Clinical Psychologist role providing maternity cover for a period of one year. You will be working in a dynamic and supportive team, with opportunities for professional development and growth.
The Paediatric Psychology Service aims to support children and young people to manage the psychological impact of living with a physical health diagnosis. Key objectives include reduced levels of distress associated with the medical condition and/or treatment, adjustment to living with a health condition, improved quality of life, and collaborative working to improve treatment adherence and active participation in health management.
